park hyejoon is the eldest son of a renowned painter whose art has been sought after not only in south korea, but across the globe. millions upon millions came pouring into the family’s bank account, but that never seemed to get to him. in his head, his father just knew how to make use of a brush and a set of paint to create the most beautiful pieces on a canvas. humble he might be, but that never meant that he didn’t receive the finest things in life. from being able to get the top of the line clothing, put him into the best private schools to even acquiring his own apartment suite as soon as he entered college, he’s nothing short of money. however, he might not be as big of a spender as his sister was.
he had always been too engrossed with the creative side of things, a trait gifted by his father. painting had been one of the few things that he’s done, explored with. however, he yearned to have a name of his own and if he delved into the same realm as his father did —— he would forever have his name stuck together. what did his parents think of the digital arts? well, it was a difficult idea to wrap their heads around at first, his father the one who questioned it more. after all, being the eldest of the siblings, shouldn’t he be finding something with a better reputation than merely being a graphic designer? there were other forms of art that were more dignified after all.
however, he goes against what was willed for him only to be given the condition that he should excel in such or else, he’d be put in his place and was happy to do just that for them.
still in the early phases of his career, the pressure gets to him. will he do good? was he going to fall back and just dive back into painting? what other career paths were there for him? every single bit of wanting to be perfect was his struggle. suppose that was the curse of the first born. despite being the experimental child, you’re expected to reign with perfection. set a good example, make a name for the family and bring honor to them as one should.
maybe that’s why he finds his rebellious streak to it. his personality not pure goodness. the golden boy that bore secrets, darker sides to him that no one might ever witness —— until it all comes crashing down, at least.
